grew up going here.. wouldnt want anything else but this old newhall environment with great smiles and food!!!

The way station is well known amongst the locals for how long it’s been around. Waiting time on weekends is too long for breakfast. What turns me off is for a breakfast joint they don't how to make scrambled eggs correctly. They crack the eggs onto the griddle instead of a bowl first. Mickey D's scrambled eggs are better than this place. Most people think they get a lot of food but it's mostly hash browns on the plate that are mushy. I know they can do better than this and since times are tough financially try breakfast elsewhere until they change chefs. You really deserve more for your money!

I've been going here for years, tough to drag me elsewhere. Make sure you get there early on the weekends to avoid the crowds, weekdays you'll be okay. I recommend for breakfast the “Kris Special”, I guarantee you won’t go home hungry. The Way Station has that comfortable old town feel, great friendly service, plentiful portions and breakfast brought to me just the way I like it,…no problem.

Not someplace I would visit again by any chance. The service was rude, I was dining alone and the lead waitress made it quite clear when I came in that counter seating was all I could have. She and the other waitress were arguing the whole time I was there. Yes you get a lot of food but with the atmosphere you get a lot of heartburn as well. I felt unless you are a local they know you get lousy service and attitude to boot.

An old Newhall landmark, the Way Station is just off I-5 and Lyons. Take Lyons to the San Fernando road and turn right. The restaurant is 1 block up.
Bring your appetite the amount of food is awesome. Unfortunately the locals have known about this place for years and under normal circumstances you can expect to wait for a table.
Take care 'cause this place is only open till 2:00 PM
