i hardly ever carry cash. when i went to use my debit card i didn't know there was a minimum. i had been telling the young man i never come to your area without stopping for the best ever donuts and he took pity on me and said that when i came tomarrow that i could pay for today's donuts then. that kind of generousity is rare today so i hope the owner sees this review and gives chris a raise. i just wish you had a branch in los angeles so i wouldn't have to drive so far. thanks again for your kindness. vickie

Been living in San Diego since 1980 and VGs has the best donuts I have ever found ANYWHERE - even had VGs make our wedding cake!

The donuts are very good, but the owners are what make the place.
They always make you laugh.
For example, someone asked if they could pay with a hundred dollar bill and the owner responded, "Of course, we can give you store credit."

Absolute best donuts. No place to sit or atmosphere, but if you want donuts, this is the place to be. Baked fresh several times daily, there is a good chance that no matter what time you show up, the donuts you get will probably be warm. I have heard that the V.G. in the title stands for Very Good.
