Traveling cross country, I went to Val's yesterday for the first time in 21 years. Nothing has changed except the prices (which are still pretty reasonable).
Like stepping back in time to 1958, before the invention of McFood.

Big Breakfasts, big Lunches, Big Dinners old family burger joint. It's hard to say anything bad about Val's other than finding a parking space.
Cash only so come prepared, or be ready to drive for mile to find a bank. Once seated you won't regret it.
Large portions, great selections, great ambiance but be ready to possibly sit at a booth that could be shared by another group. This is an old place that has been around since the fifties, and once you've eaten here you'll understand why.
