Eggnog Waffles

(4 servings)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 large eggs - beaten
  • 6 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together eggnog, eggs and oil until well mixed.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Fold in nuts.

Cook waffles in well-greased preheated waffle iron according to manufactures instructions.

Note: The nuts are optional. These are great with just butter and powdered sugar.


A little eggnog in the mix gives these waffles a holiday flavor. Optional walnuts or pecans add a little crunch to every other bite.
