Vanilla Date Breakfast Shake

- 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt

1 cup low-fat milk

1 cup pitted Medjool dates - chopped

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 and 1/2 cups crushed ice
Place the yogurt, milk, dates and vanilla in your blender and puree until smooth. Gradually add the ice and pulse until thick, smooth and delicious.
This also makes a very nice afternoon or evening healthy snack. Try it some time with a little low-fat whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
