Iced Maple Coffee
(1 serving)
- 3 Tablespoons maple syrup
-
1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
-
5 or 6 ice cubes
-
1/2 cup whipped cream
I love iced coffee, so it wasn't hard for this recipe to win me over. The maple syrup works great as a sweetener. I thought that whipped cream over ice sounded a little weird, but it worked. If you use a low-fat whipped cream, this drink if fairly guilt-free while tasting rich and indulgent. The one suggestion I'd make is to add 2 drops of maple extract in with the coffee. The maple syrup alone adds a nice subtle flavor. It only helps if you can amp up the maple just a little bit. (This recipe was submitted in 2008. It was tested and photographed in August 2014.)
How To Make Iced Maple Coffee
Stir the maple syrup into the coffee. Pour over ice in a large serving glass. Top with whipped cream.
A fancy coffee shop worthy drink you can make at home easily, quickly and cheaply.
