Strawberry Banana Bonanza
(1 serving)
- 4 fresh strawberries (stems & leaves cut off)
- 1/2 fresh banana
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 Tablespoon honey (or to taste)
- 4 ice cubes
- 1/4 cup low-fat/non-fat milk or soy milk
- 2 or 3 Tablespoons non-fat yogurt
I liked this smoothie a lot. It was flavorful and really smooth, despite having a very minimal amount of yogurt. I might advise that you reduce or skip the honey. I used a very ripe banana and that added a lot of sweetness. I recommend that you pulse everything together, taste and add honey as needed. I also used a whole banana instead of a half of one. It seems like a very light breakfast, but this (and a slice of toast) kept me full and satisfied most of the morning. (Recipe was submitted in 2010. It was tested and photographed in December 2013.)
How To Make A Strawberry Banana Bonanza Smoothie
Combine yogurt, ice, & milk in blender. Blend until smooth. Then, add strawberries & banana. Blend until smooth. Then, add vanilla & honey. You guessed it, blend until smooth. Enjoy :)
