Apple Butter Oatmeal

(1 serving)

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup water
  • dash salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • apple butter (to taste)
Put oats, salt, and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for approximately 1.5 minutes. Add almond extract, and a couple heaping spoonfuls of apple butter. Microwave for additional 15 second intervals until thickened as desired.


Use a generous amount of apple butter. Otherwise, you'll be able to smell it but not taste it!
