Sausage And Egg Breakfast Pizza
(7 servings)
- 1 16-ounce package breakfast sausage - cooked/crumbled/drained
-
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
-
1 cup frozen hash brown potatoes - thawed
-
1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese - shredded
-
5 large eggs - beaten
-
1/4 cup milk
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/8 teaspoon pepper
This is sort of like the best of breakfast in the form of a pizza. It's got your eggs and sausage, but also cheese, hash browns and a crescent roll crust. When I make this again, I'll consider adding 1/2 cup of chopped onions and bell pepper to contrast the heavier flavors. I loved how cheesy it was. I used a combination of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses. I could see it being great with Pepper Jack as well. My pizza took exactly 28 minutes to bake. Bottom Line: True lovers of breakfast foods will love this breakfast food. (This recipe was submitted in 2002. It was tested and photographed in November 2014.)
How To Make A Sausage And Egg Breakfast Pizza
Separate crescent dough into eight triangles. Place in an ungreased 12" pizza pan with points toward the center.
Press over bottom and up sides to form a crust and seal perforations. Spoon sausage over crust, sprinkle with potatoes. Top with cheddar cheese.
Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper and pour into crust. Sprinkle over all.
Bake in 375 degree F oven for 30 minutes.
Only a loser would eat cold pizza for breakfast when there's hot Sausage and Egg Breakfast Pizza in the world.
