One of the best breakfasts I've ever had - anywhere! I guess you'd expect a good one from a bed and breakfast in Asheville, NC.

I was just expecting a light meal to start the day... I was presented with a three-course extravaganza absolutely dripping in culinary expertise and Southern hospitality.

A delectably fresh and beautifully displayed fruit bowl began our culinary venture, with a side of oatmeal optional. The fruit tasted as if it had been picked just moment before - so succulent and wonderful!

Following this was a wonderfully light and fluffy egg omelette. I got mine without yolk as I am on a bit of a diet, and the cook didn't burn or overcook a single nanometer of it. To say I was impressed would have been an understatement.

To finish things off, a wonderfully light pancake topped with fresh whipped cream and a berry compote. Who doesn't love a little dessert with their breakfast?
