This is an older Mexican diner style restaurant tucked away in the heart of downtown Austin. There are a few tables and counter. The food is excellent. The people are friendly and helpful. It is a real value for the price. Plus, if you are staying in a hotel around the convention center this is a welcome change from the hotel food and prices. Las Manitas is located within walking distance from the convention center, and several major hotels. Don't be put off by the exterior. It's whats inside that counts.
