The best kept secret in San Francisco! This cafe is located on the roof of the San Francisco Art Institute in North Beach/Russian Hill. The cuisine is amazing, the prices are incredible and the wrap-around panoramic view of Alcatraz, Telegraph hill and the bay, beats any other view in the city! Vegetarian and Vegan cuisine are ALWAYS on the menu and everything is HOMEMADE and very eclectic! Expect to see everything from Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie and Garth's Vegan Baked Tofu Sandwich, to Braised Duck over Creamy Polenta (or if your lucky), a Meatloaf Sandwich on fresh Homemade Wheat Bread with a side of Apple-Walnut Bleu Cheese Salad! Everything is under $7, regardless of how gourmet your meal may be! If you love feeling like you were just invited to a friend's house for breakfast (or lunch), this is the place! Come early (9am-10:30am) so you don't miss out on breakfast (when it's gone, it's gone!) The baked goods vary daily (Blueberry Muffins, Pineapple-Coconut Scones, Ginger Scones/Muffins, Lemon-Raisin Scones, Strawberry Muffins, Friday's HUGE Cinnamon Twists, Banana Muffins, or the Famous Grandma's Coffee Cake, and of course, more!) Breakfast is simple: eggs (any way), FRESH HOMEMADE TOAST, bagels, home fries, bacon (THE BEST!), etc. Bring your appetite, the servings are incredibly generous.
