Family-owned workingman's cafe favored by locals.Where else but South Texas can you get breakfast for two for under $10, hear local music and get your shoes shined?
Migas a la mexicana (eggs scrambled with tortilla chips, chilies, onions and tomato with coffee beans, potatoes, tortillas and bacon for two $8.50!
Also, good menudo, pork chop and eggs and cheap lunches. Only drawback is the coffee service isn't always fast enough. the music and shoes shine is only occasional and independent of the cafe--they are tolerated as long as they don't become a nuisance.
