I had trouble trying to figure out how to rate this place. The diner is located in a very ordinary looking small isolated building on a bypassed stretch of old 49. The menu is small and mostly unexciting though surely dirt cheap.
But there is a difference.
This place is run by a rather jolly Irishman who once was the Grand Marshall in NYC's St. Patrick's Day Parade. It shows.
One Sunday of every month there is an authentic Irish breakfast. Must be big city Irish because your informant with an Irish immigrant father thought an Irish breakfast consisted of oatmeal. Period.
If you are Irish - or think you are - you might like to try a bit of blarney for breakfast. Like for instance the Riverside Diner that is not very close to any river.
