probably one of the most consistently good breakfasts in town, i have yet to experience a bad meal at the 5 points. no matter how busy they are (and they can be very busy on some mornings) the waitresses are always on the ball, making it practically impossible to see the bottom of your coffee mug and getting your order out to your table or counter seat once it's up. the food is very southern - which is a code word for HUGE. the portions are more than enough for even a big eater. their biscuits are quite delicious - slightly crispy on the outside, fluffy yet firm on the inside, and a very nice flavor. and they're big.

not that any of these very minor things should deter you, there are three very gripes that i have with the 5 points:

1) cash only - no plastic (but there are several atms in the area - just make sure you have money before going)
2) they're not open on sundays (hey, they bust ass all week long - they need a day off!)
3) the parking lot can be a little weird to navigate (not a big deal for much of their clientele, who live within walking distance)

all in all, this place is most certainly worth seeking out.

(oh yeah - they serve lunch, too...)
