As out-of-towners who know a good breakfast or two in our travels, North End Cafe is a welcome respite from the tired and mediocre greasy spoons that dot the landscape.

Eggs were prepared to satisfaction, the biscuits were light, fluffly and had the right crumble. The vegetarian mushroom gravy was a delight, esp. on the biscuits. A tasty but gutbusting treat were the hushpuppies, served a dark brown and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Tasty but there were 6 of them and we couldn't finish. Portions are very generous. You won't leave hungry.

If you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze, we recommend it.
