Food that aspires to upscale, but at reasonable prices in comfortable, non-hoity-toity surroundings. There's a variety of breakfast dishes that include buckwheat pancakes, fruit kabobs, cinnamon french toast, yogurt-granola parfaits, and a variety of eggs and scrambles.
On the day we were there, there was one waitress for the whole place-- service could suffer if there were more than 6 tables at once. Despite the lace curtains and art for sale, the ambience is up-north informal-- but not a great place for young and/or active children.

The one big downside of the restaurant's striving to upscale is its selection and pricing of coffee. It heavily touts the Starbucks it serves and has an affordable price-- but only for the first 2 cups; refills are $1 after that. I'd rather have a supposed "lesser" coffee with no dissuasion of multiple cups or pricing of $0.50-$0.75 more without limitation.
