Excellent service, food, and prices in a former cotton gin about 20 miles SE of Dallas. Unique and friendly atmosphere that welcomes both families and motorcyclists - the parking lot features a special area for motorcycle-riding customers called "the Hog Pen," complete with wooden strip for kickstands! Don't be fooled by a busy-looking parking lot; this place is huge, and you'll be seated quickly.
Food is homestyle, not fancy (tall, fluffy biscuits and cream gravy, grits, crispy thick bacon, sausage, eggs, French toast, pancakes, etc), but it's all wonderful, and there's plenty of it. Breakfast is served until late morning (around 11:00), according to our waitress.
The prices are much more reasonable than IHOP, Cracker Barrel or Denny's, and the food, service, and atmosphere are far superior! Pass up the chain restaurants in Dallas and make the trip to Crandall.
