This restaurant is located in the heart of Detroit's historic Eastern Market, a farmers' market. On weekdays and on weekends in the wee hours, the restaurant caters to farmers and local merchants, some of whom must supply the incredibly fresh eggs, sausage, and bread. All eggs are cooked in fresh butter, and you can tell. There is a roomy non-smoking area, well-separated from the smoking area. Waitresses are fast and efficient, and the coffee doesn't have a chance to get bitter. Refills are plentiful. The ambience probably could be a bit better, but with a basic breakfast as good as this, who cares? Try it!
