We had driven by this place many times on our way home from other places, & noticed that it was always packed. So, this time we decided to give it a try. It's been open since 1942, & it shows, but the decor is beside the point. They obviously specialize in waffles, not the Belgian kind, just waffles like your mom used to make on special Sunday mornings.

They have a few different breakfast items on the menu, like a chili omelette (which I tried - not bad, though odd having chili at breakfast). The coffee was kept fresh at all times, the waffles were definitely to the kids' liking, & the sausages were FANTASTIC! That's a deal-breaker for our family, if the links are below-average, & these were plump & cooked to perfection.

All in all, a satisfying breakfast. Only quibbles - the syrup was in those little packages, not in a jug; the bacon was a bit overcooked. Other than that, pretty good experience! My son says 5/5, the rest of us, about 3.5/4 out of 5.
