Small, friendly restaurant seemingly popular with locals-- though, as a stranger, I was not stared at or overly scrutinized. I had a board special (strawberry waffle w/choice of bacon or sausage) and coffee. Waffle was fine, but had not even a slice of fresh strawberries. No "beef" about the bacon. When I arrived and took a counter seat (just after 10 a.m.), the place was finally getting uncrowded. It seemed almost-frantic busy, and service suffered moderately because of it; coffee refilling was particularly impacted. Atmosphere and prices could bring me back, but I'd hope service would improve slightly. They were working hard to get to the customers and kept their cool.
