We discovered this amazing "hole in the wall" after recently moving to town. It's a tiny little place and there is usually a bit of a wait because of the limited seating available, but it is worth the wait! Carlsbad has the history of being a mining town, and Calloway's walls are filled with mining memorabilia, alot of fun to look at while you wait. They are known in town for the "miner" pancake that is so large, if you order it to go they serve it in a pizza box! We had family in town and they ordered the "miner" and 3 adults shared it--it's huge! and it's less than $3.00--all the food I have tried there is yummy, served good and hot, generous portions, and VERY reasonable portions! They truly do keep the coffee coming, too!
