My family and I went to Cafe Calbay when we were going to take a trip on Amtrak to Quincy. It's right across the street from the La Grange Amtrak & Metra station. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch but has a great menu for breakfast. There are many different kinds of egg dishes, skillets, pancakes, omelets, etc. The food is very hot when you receive it and is very flavorful. The hashbrowns are nice and moist and almost taste like they're cooked in butter. The restaurant always seems to be crowded on Saturday mornings when we go there. THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY. I think you'll like it if you give it a try!!!!!!!!!!!
