This place has been around a long time. Back in the day, it was a vegetarian restaurant called "The Villiage Idiot." It has retained much of it's vegetarian roots, with veggie and vegan options galore...including an amazing tofu scramble. But meat-eaters will find plenty to eat here, as well. The atmosphere is great -- inside an old home, lots of hard wood and local artists' work on the walls. Gingham potatoes (with sweet potatoes and rosemary) are delish, as is the vanilla French toast. Pancakes are variable...sometimes good, sometimes tough on the outside. I've always found the service to be friendly, though sometimes slow. Good coffee and espresso drinks. Open 8-4.
