Having enjoyed lunch at the Red Star, I looked forward to breakfast. I should have waited for lunch. My usual breakfast is bacon and eggs. This diner violated three of my cardinal rules: 1) the eggs were served stacked on the plate, one atop the other. Impossible to eat without breaking the yolk on the bottom; 2) the "homefries" were cooked in a deep fat frier; 3) the toast was served dry. Add to that the fact that although I ordered the "bottomless cup" of coffee, it was never refiled.

The food was okay, but it's hard to wreck bacon and eggs. The meal was so disappointing that I was tempted to immediately go elsewhere and order breakfast again, just to save the morning.
