The breakfasts here ain't all that cheap, but you can usually get TWO meals out of them. All the omelets are made with 5 eggs! That being said the omelets are not my favorite, they tend to be a bit overcooked in my experience. The pancakes, Chocolate chip for the boys, and banana for Erika and myself are fantastic, and hearty enough to withstand reheating in the toaster oven the next day. Pete's Pancakes (or French Toast) deluxe comes with a large beef sausage, a turkey sausage, a huge slab of deep fried scrapple (YUM!)and two eggs how you like 'em. How I like 'em is over easy on top of the Scrapple, with the turkey sausage and half a pancake. Then I take the Beef sausage and the rest of the cakes home for a large breakfast the next day!
On a Sunday morning you may have to wait, but the longest we have sat in the pleasant foyer has been 20 minutes. Usually, its 5 or less, and frequently we get seated right away. The staff is pleasant and as attentive as they can be with a full house. I have never felt rushed. For the other meals in the day all entrees, even all sandwiches and wraps, come with soup. Not just a cup, but a regular sized bowl, with Matzo Ball soup costing 1.50 more. For that 1.50 you get a baseball sized matso ball, in a delicious, not too greasy chicken broth. The sandwiches are huge, as well. Not the cheapest diner I have ever been to, but always delicious, pleasant, clean and sparkling. A proud diner in the Diner state!
