I love breakfast. Even for lunch or dinner. When I travel, my hobbie is to search for that indigenous, mom & pop breakfast cafe that offers larger than life portions and mouth watering specialties. So when one of my favorite haunts in Corona shut down, I began to search for a replacement. I found the Rodeo Cafe on a few sites and made the trek to Norco to check it out. I found the "little box" right next to some old batting cages ... perfect! First off, the interior is cowboy kitsch and very clean. Booths and tables. The owner was my server. I was there for a late lunch but ordered coffee. He made me a fresh pot ... a good sign. I had the chile verde omelette and a special request ... vegetables swapped for potatoes. No problem. The green chile was just the right spice and tender. Eggs were cooked perfect. The vegetables (sauteed spinach and mushrooms+) were I kid you not, as good as a nice dinner house. Plus, beans and wheat toast. A feast! By the way, everything was fresh and served hot. I now have two requests. Stay open 'till 3 pm and open one up in south Corona!
