Candied Bacon
(10 servings) Printable Version
- 1 pound thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed
- 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
- Slowly cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp.
- In a medium bowl, mix together sugar and mustard in a separate bowl.
- Transfer bacon to a plate and drain fat from skillet. Return bacon to skillet.
- Drizzle sugar mixture over bacon, tossing with a fork to coat.
- Remove immediately and place bacon on a serving platter. If slices touch each other, they will stick.
This may need to be done in batches if you use the entire pound of bacon. If so, please drain the bacon fat after each batch.

I used normal thickness bacon instead of thick cut but it was still great! Perfect compliment to the Cajun Oven Hash Browns on this same site. Thanks a bunch!
