Creamy Cheese Grits
(8 servings) Printable Version
- 6 cups water
- 6 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 and 1/2 cups white grits (NOT instant or Quick Cooking)
- 16 ounces finely grated white cheddar cheese
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter and cheese.
Transfer to serving bowls and garnish with shredded Cheddar cheese or your favorite green herbs.
You'll love my grits so much, you'll want to kiss my grits. Viva la breakfast!

Just the way I like them - totally cheesy with lots of black pepper. Had them with scrambled eggs and toast and the whole family says thumbs up!
