Ginger Ale Waffles
(5 servings) Printable Version
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix (or similar)
- 1 and 1/4 cup ginger ale
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well-blended. Let the batter rest at least 5 minutes before using.
Prepare the waffles according to your waffle maker's instruction booklet.
This made about 10 waffles in our 9-inch iron.
This came from a very old waffle iron instruction book. We tried it just to see if it really worked. And it did. They were quite good, definitely unique and went well with maple syrup.

I did this with 7-Up once. It made good looking waffles that fluffed up fine but the flavor was too sweet and a little artificial. I've stuck with regular waffles ever since.
