Chex Granola (Microwave)
(9 servings) Printable Version
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups Wheat or Corn Chex cereal (or combination)
- 1/2 cup flakes coconut
- 2 Tablespoons sunflower nuts
- 2 Tablespoons wheat germ
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients.
Pour honey/oil mixture over the Chex mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Microwave on HIGH for 3 to 4 minutes or until the coconut and cereal begin to toast -- stirring once every minute.
Allow granola to cool in the bowl. Stir occasionally during cooling. Store tightly covered.
Makes about 3 cups.

If this is from when Chex was Ralston/Purnia and not General Mills.... it's GREAT !!! It's the only reason I buy wheat germ!
