Oatmeal With Yogurt & Pecans
(1 serving) Printable Version
- 1/2 cup dry oatmeal
- 1 cup juice
- handful of chopped pecans
- cut up banana or shredded apple
- 1/2 cup low fat yogurt
After cooked, sprinkle a small handful of chopped pecans, add a cut up banana or shredded apple and cover with 1/2 cup of low fat yogurt.
I have used many different juices such as apple or orange to give a different, sweet taste to the oatmeal. The pecans add a crunch and many health benefits. The cut up banana or shredded apple adds more fiber and makes for a very filling breakfast. I like to try different yogurt flavors to add interest and a hot/cold sensation. Cinnamon is a nice addition when using apple juice and vanilla yogurt. This is a low calorie, filling breakfast with many health benefits!
