Maple Syrup Souffle
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 4 egg whites
Grease a souffle dish with butter.
Bake at 375 F for 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
I haven't made this yet, but the recipe seemed so simple for a souffle, I had to share it. I'd be skeptical of that oven time. Most souffles I've made were a full hour at 350. Good luck!

Mine came out dripping out, syrupy after I took it out, it just wasn't very pleasant.

While entirely too sweet for my taste, I think this recipe would be perfect if the syrup was reduced to 3/4 cup and the sugar reduced to perhaps 2 or 3 tablespoons.
The cooking time is accurate, however.

I had great success with this recipe! Although next time I prepair this delight I will reduce the quantity of sugar and maple syrup considerably, very light but very sweet!
