Chocolate Chip Waffles
(6 servings) Printable Version
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 and 2/3 cups milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
Cook waffles according to the directions for your waffle maker.
Serve immediately with syrup while waffles are still warm.
Cooking Tips:
For best results, avoid over-mixing when you mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. The batter may be slightly lumpy. You'll get more tender waffles this way.
If needed, vegetable oil or canola oil can replace the melted butter in this recipe.
A sweet treat for breakfast that's very easy to make!

Very good recipe. Next time, I will even cut back 1/4 cup on the chocolate chips. Too much chocolate goodness.
