Blender Granola
(24 servings) Printable Version
- 6 cup quick cooking or Old fashioned oats
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1 cup safflower oil
- 1 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts and pecans work great)
Let this set a good hour before eating. It will get crunchy. I like to pour milk on a bowl and eat it like regular breakfast cereal. I think it was originally designed for camping.

This was pretty good although the blender could have easily been a mixing bowl. I used canola oil instead of "safflower" and completely skipped the powdered milk (it seemed weird... I'd like to try it but I want to wait to see a post here if that works or adds anything good to the recipe). Oh.. and MOST IMPORTANT... it only took about 40 minutes to bake... it probably would have burned at 60 minutes so be careful.
