Nutella Hot Cocoa

(1 serving) Printable Version

1 cup milk
3 Tablespoons Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 pinch of espresso powder (optional)
1 or 2 marshmallows

In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over a low flame, whisk together the milk, Nutella, cocoa powder, and espresso (if using). Add cinnamon stick. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick. Pour into a mug and top with a marshmallow or two for the final touch.

I found this awesome creamy, chocolaty delicious drink on tumblr via bigcitylittlekitchen.com. I didn't have cinnamon sticks so stirred 1 pinch of cinnamon into the mix and it worked great.
