Cinnamon Apple Waffles
(4 servings) Printable Version
- 16 ounces plain yogurt
- 2 large eggs - beaten
- 1/4 cup cinnamon-flavored apple juice (or apple cider)
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Note: If you don't have cinnamon-flavored apple juice, just use regular apple juice and mix 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon in with the dry ingredients.

I used vanilla-flavored yogurt and also added 2 Tablespoons sugar like someone suggested in the comments. I thought the flavor was great but the the texture wasn't as light as I hoped for. I'd give this recipe a B-.

I was not as pleased with this recipe as I was hoping to be. I think that they needed sugar in the batter, so I ended up putting 3 tablespoons of sugar into my batter after I tried it. I was also surprised with the density and the moisture left in the finished waffle. It must be all the yogurt that went into it.

Awsome! I like to serve them with powdered sugar and of coarse whipped cream.
