Note from Mr Breakfast:
I finally got around to trying this recipe today (May, 15, 2013) and I liked it quite a bit. Thanks to 'ChocolateLover' for the submission. It's a fun idea using hot cocoa mix to flavor oatmeal. One thing to watch out for... depending on the sweetness of your hot cocoa packet, you might want to add just a little more sugar to this recipe. I used a fancy Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa Mix from Starbucks. It added an interesting flavor, but definitely needed a touch more sugar. No problem. I just stirred a teaspoon in after everything was mixed.
Turn instant oatmeal into something kind of fancy. This really tastes like a bowl of cookies. Choco-tastic! Secret ingredient: hot cocoa mix.
Mr Breakfast would like to thank ChocolateLover for this recipe.

I am going to be making these this week. As a kid, I never believed in chocolate cereals like Count Chocula. I liked my cereal natural as a kid. All the other kids thought I was crazy. I was the weird kid to my peers. I knew that chocolate was good for the brain memory. As a kid, I didn't know about moods until I got to Junior High. We called chocolate the new marijuana. I love natural chocolate - not this junk chocolate. I'm also very fond of white chocolate. If you've got recipes for white chocolate, please share them Mr Breakfast cause it's so good and it's good for long life. So please make sure your recipes are good for long life. As far as a packet of chocolate for this delicious cookie, I recommend Swiss Miss hot cocoa. It will bring out the best in the chocolate.

I have oatmeal every morning. I combine 1 cup boiling water, a sprinkle of salt and 1/2 cup instant oatmeal.. Then I add any darn thing that's available, leftover fruit, honey, peanut butter, marshmallows, cocoa, nuts, cocoa puffs. Separate or a combination of any. Haven't had a bad combination yet!

This is a delicious breakfast. I didn't have instant cocoa, so I mixed in some cocoa powder and sugar. It's also really good with a cut up banana mixed in.
