Introduced in 1963 The first adult cereal with flakes made from four grains: corn, rice, oats and wheat. It's suspected the cereal got its name because the four grains "team" together to make a winning flakes. A magazine ad for Team Flakes described it like this: There are people who have never tasted TEAM Flakes by Nabisco. A pity. They're so good... with rice, corn, oats and wheat teamed up in every flake. They even have bubbles baked in to keep them extra crisp. Another ad introducing the cereal in 1963 described it like this: The most spirited new breakfast in years! New spirited taste! For the first time, 4 grains teamed up in one flakes... rice, corn, oats, wheat! Never before such taste in a flake! New crisp spirit!! You just can't dampen it with milk, because Team's baked with tiny bubbles for crispness. The spirited flakes with the spirited taste from Nabisco!
