I switched the ratio of whole wheat to all-purpose flour so it was 1 cup whole wheat and 3/4 cup all-purpose. I also ground down the oats to a flour-like consistency. My results you ask? Excellent!

I've made these multiple times and everyone in the family loves them. I double the batch and freeze the leftovers. Toast in the toaster smear with a Tbs of peanut butter and you have yourself a great quick breakfast for the week. Thanks for the recipe.

Really good waffles! I put some blueberries in the mix and rhubarb sauce on them with syrup as well, so yummy!

These waffles are awesome. I used Sunny Boy Organic cereal (has wheat, rye and flax) and substituted buttermilk. Also, I have a flour mill so used my own flour. They are the best waffles. 1 fills you up.

I learned about this site a couple of weeks ago and tried a few recipes. The whole grain waffles recipe was an immediate hit and by far the family's favorite. I added chocolate chips and my kids loved it.

We made these just as directed and everyone from my one year old to my husband gobbled them up. We topped them with applesauce which was healthy and delicious.

These were very good. Thanks for the recipe. I mixed and matched grains according to what I had - oat bran instead of wheat germ. I guess I had the others. Oh, and I used organic cane sugar. Next time I will add some cinnamon, and/or cardamom. I just can't leave a recipe alone, but this one does seem to lend itself to mixing and matching, which is a good thing, I think. :)

I made them exactly as instructed (for dinner!) and they were wonderful. My 5 and 7 year ate seconds (which is unusual at our house). I'm thrilled they are so healthful and delicious! No guilt for the sugar when there are so many other nutritious ingredients. The applesauce and vanilla made them great. We are planning a party for Valentine's Day in my son's second grade class and we are going to make these. I'm excited to share this recipe and the website with the kids and their families. (Just note the formatting error on the salt/egg line - don't forget the eggs!)
