Delicious! My daughter wanted French toast. I only had heavy cream on hand, so I googled French toast using heavy cream, so glad I did.

Mine came out wonderfully. I used day-old bread (always best for French Toast). Using cream instead of milk is the reason this one is better than other recipes.

Thank you for sharing your recipe. My son wanted French toast I realized all I had was heavy whipping cream. I decided to Google French toast using heavy whipping cream and saw your recipe. Absolutely Amazing! I added cinnamon and an extra egg. Perfect with Texas toast bread.

I also had GREAT results with this recipe. I added one more egg to the batter because I like my French toast to have a good egg coating.

I put the bread slices in a baking dish and let them set in the custard mixture for an entire hour. You have to be very careful when you transfer the bread from the baking pan to the griddle. Use a spatula or else the pieces will break. They absorb all the mixture this way and are extra creamy and delicious in the middle.

This morning I woke up and I had my craving for french toast but I didn't want the normal plain french toast. So I goggled french toast and came across your Vanilla cream french toast so I made it this morning and I was the last one to eat everyone in the family loved it. My nephew ran into the kitchen and said "that was the best breakfast I have ever had." Thank you for posting your recipe.

Saw this on Diners Drive-inns and Dives and it tasted great: Grab a box of Captain Crunch cereal. I guess about 2 cups will do - crunch it up fine. Then after dipping the bread in the batter, coat with cereal and cook 'em up. Be sure to coat them evenly or you may get some burn spots. Serve with bananas and whip cream. Delicious.

Wonderful! One of the best french toast recipes I've made. I used Texas Toast, so the batter only made about 5 slices. I really soaked them though. I took the suggestion and served them with bananas and it was the perfect touch. Strawberries would work too.
