I really miss these. They tasted so good, I even ate them dry out of the box. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to take these off the market.

Great flavor, mouth-feel and crunch... only downside? My poor, poor teeth.

The only sweetened cereal I have ever had that I do not like. It just has a weird chemical taste.

I think y'all should put this cereal back on the market. This was my favorite cereal. I've been searching all over for this cereal.

This is some seriously delicious cereal. To quote South Park: "I'm super cereal." Love it!

It was July 29th 2013... I was craving Rice Krispies bars. I went to the store and got 2 boxes thinking the rest of the family may want me to make them some to. I was lucky because I opened and used one box to make mine and after making them I broke off a piece while they were cooling and bit on this strange thing in my mouth. I thought it was a tooth. I had just had a tooth pulled and thank God it didn't go up in that hole where the tooth was pulled. I took what I was waiting for (a tooth) out of my mouth and there was a hard piece of metal!

I hope they never discontinue this heavenly cereal. @mel-mel: your cereal was probably expired. Any cereal gets rock hard when old. @squirrel: for blue Rice Krispies bowls, look on ebay. Just type in "blue Rice Krispies bowls" in the search. You'll find a ton.

I loved Rice Krispies for as long as I can remember, but I want to know how I can get the blue Rice Krispies bowls from 1995.

This is one of the best cereals of my time and I'm only 27 lol. I loved this cereal so much I think I'm going to write to Kellogg's and ask them to remake it in the the same Turquoise box. Greatly missed.

Whoa you guys must have sensitive teeth. Mom of 2 loves this cereal. I hide it so the kids can't get any. Oh well, they got all the others. One of the best cereals.

Yeah my story is identical to the kid talking about the hard pieces in the cereal. I had 9 cavities filled within the last month & it has KILLED my mouth eating this. Have to let it sit in the milk but I am still scared. Chew cautiously. Great flavor though.

I used to eat this cereal ALL the time as a child and now as an adult I saw it in the grocery store and had to get it! I got myself a box and made a bowl as soon as I got home. Well I don't ever recall having this problem before but there were SO MANY hard parts in it I literally had to make sure I didn't crack a tooth. Thinking it was just a one time thing and diving back in to enjoy another bite about 2 minutes later I chomp on something hard as a rock again thinking I better check my tooth again. Luckily, no damage.
I have had 5 more bowls out of this box since purchasing and I tell you I have bitten into rice krispy treats that were like biting into a rock. I am now scared to even try and finish this box as I everytime I bite into it I run to the mirror to make sure my tooth hasn't cracked or shattered!
I don't EVER recall biting into hard rock rice krispy treats when I ate this all the time as a child. Maybe the cereal is being made poorly now or sitting on the shelves of the grocery stores too long? Quite a shame as this was one of my favorite cereals of all time. Now I will pass on it and never be purchasing it again as my teeth take priority in this case!

This cereal is love! Consideration and observation of the consumer created this. Just don't go rushing in if you love cereal style marshmellows.
This cereal perfectly emulates the hottest treats of the time,.. home made marshmellow rice squares. There has been wageing between parents and children.. Children were stuffing themselves with the treats in place of breakfast, using the arguement that they were made of breakfast when parents tried to make them eat their cereal. This cereal came out years after this war started. This cereal was called for, though some parents were concerned.
When you get this cereal, do not expect a perfect replica of homemade Rice Krispies Squares/Bars/Treats. The clusters are no where as gooey as freshly made homemade.., they won't be warm, and many people cannot eat them dry. An important thing to consider is they have been drying out over time in a some times rice-dusty box/bag. So they are very dry. Here's the good thing though, they will moisten up in your milk and can slow down the soggy rate of the rice.
When you eat this cereal, you will get the taste of melting marshmellow. Even stray rice pieces may have a hint of marshmellow. Every bite is bound to have some hard parts, some crispy parts, and some soggy parts. The sogginess won't be all consumeing and will be easily forgiven. As the cereal soaks up milk the marshmellow activates and you do end up with reminder of soaking your homemade treats in milk.
I'm giving this a 5 out of 5. The cereal does it's job in replicating soaked treats. It managed to correct an eatting problem for children. It survived against being preceived as novelty ( or expected to be Limited Edition). It's nutricious, kids love it.. even with it lacking a Mascot most of the time.
I want to warn of a couple problems though. This is not the most healthy thing you can eat and to some it is addictive, so I would not suggest eating it daily. Treat this as a rare cereal, not a year round cereal. I also want to point out this cereal stays hard or crispy very well and may cut your mouth. Between the hardness and the stickyness this may cause problem for weak teeth or ones already experiencing problems. I would avoid giving this to toddlers and babies between the sugar, the addiction, the psoblity of cutting ones mouth, and problems they might encounter with developing and loose teeth.
Great as a sweet treat. Not so great for cereal year round.
