We used to have Shredded Wheat for breakfast when I was a child but can remember we weren't very keen on it, probably because my sister always called them spiders legs!

Shredded wheat is still available but it is not carried by all stores. I don't shop at stores that do not carry it. I am getting picky in my old age. I cannot stand the pre-sweetened stuff.

What ever happened to this wonderful large type of shredded wheat?

I really appreciate the new wrapping the biscuits come in and the fact that they are so firm - do not fall apart easily!

Why can't we find the original Shredded Wheat in France or Germany? It is available in England.

What happened to the old fashioned Kellogg's Shredded Wheat. All I can find are the miniatures but don't like them. We put milk & sugar if you want that over the large ones, bake them in the oven until they are soft then put peaches over them for a good healthy meal. - Sarann Boring

Was NABISCO the first,to produce Shredded Wheat? I remember seeing the Kellogg's Shredded Wheat box in the early 1960's. Of course this was not to be confused with the Nabisco product.

They took it off the market in favor of Frosted Mini Wheats to compete with Nabisco/Post.
