This cereal is described on the box as containing "organic whole grain oats, wheat and barley, crisp rice, almonds and dark chocolate".

This cereal was introduced at the same time as Cascadian Farm Fruit And Nut Granola cereal. Their release coincided with a new, cleaner, whiter packaging that was implemented for many of the company's products.

Cascadian Farm Dark Chocolate Almond Granola has the "certified organic" seal on the side of the box. The back of the original box features a description of the company under the heading "organic goodness from table to table" and a small profile about the company's "farm founder".
