Wheat Krispies was a whole wheat cereal that was blended with rice and flavored with malt, sugar and salt.

Kellogg's bragged in ads that Wheat Krispies stayed crisp and that "the last spoonful is just as crunchy as the first." The slogan for the cereal was "blended for crispness".

An ad from 1936 described the cereal this way:

Every one knows the nourishing value of whole wheat. But Kellogg's has added something that whole wheat cereals never had before. Kellogg's Wheat Krispies actually stay crisp and crunchy in milk or cream.

Just enough rice is blended with whole wheat to give new crunchiness... new goodness. Buy a large economical package from your grocer.
