Apple Cinnamon Toasty O's
Introduced in 1992
This was Malt-O-Meal's bargain imitation version of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios (introduced by General Mills in 1989).
The package featured the Malt-O-Meal characters Cool Blue & L'il Oaty, a heart healthy seal and the text, "Made with whole grains!"
We've only seen images of this cereal in a Pour Fresh Bag package. We're not sure if it was ever available in a box.
Company Description: The Malt-O-Meal Company dates back to 1919 when John S. Campbell developed a hot wheat breakfast cereal he called Malt-O-Meal. The company officially adopted the name The Malt-O-Meal Company in 1953. By 1965, the company had entered the ready-to-eat non-hot breakfast sector with the introduction of Puffed Rice and Puffed Wheat cereals.... Read on and see all cereals from Malt-O-Meal

What happen to the cereal? It was one our family's favorite cereals and quite frankly we have been searching the internet relentlessly for this cereal. Please bring it back. I rate it a 10 out of 10.

Where did this disappear to? It was great tasting and much cheaper than Cheerios. Suddenly it went away.
