Introduced in 1986
The complete name of this cereal was Horizon Trail Mix Cereal. It was described on the box as "a delicious combination of nature's best fruits, nuts & grains." This cereal was "bagged in foil for freshness."
The back of the box explained "Why Horizon makes an exciting breakfast."
"Now you can enjoy the rich satisfaction of traditional trail mix foods in a breakfast cereal. Start your day with light, crispy clusters of rice, oats and wheat, mouth-watering chunks of sweet, dried fruit and crunchy nuts. It's an exciting way to start every exciting day."
Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. My all time favorite cereal! I was crushed when they stopped making it and wish it would make a return to store shelves!
