Raisin Grape-Nuts
Introduced in 1982
Raisin Grape-Nuts was described on the box as a "natural wheat & barley cereal fortified with 8 vitamins."
The back of the box described this cereal as "a taste that's chunchychewynuttysweet!"
"It's almost impossible to describe the delicious taste of New Raisin Grape-Nuts in just one word. We start with the wholesome goodness of those nutty, crunchy nuggets of nature's wheat and barley. Then we blend in naturally sweet, plump tender raisins. All to make a delicious taste combination that is so unique - it could only be New Raisin Grape-Nuts. In a word, it's a taste that's chunchychewynuttysweet!"
Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. I just about cried when Post stopped making this. When I couldn't find it at the store, I put my own raisins in. There's just something about that combination of ultimate crunch and cheewwyy that satisfies beyond belief. Please, Post, consider bringing this back and talk the UK into stocking it at Morrison's.
