Berry Cobbler Granola
From: Cascadian Farm
Introduced in 2013

This cereal is described on the front of the box as "organic whole grain oats and crisp rice with dried cranberries and blueberries baked right in."

Text on the back of the box makes the assumption that consumers already love the Cascadian Farm brand. The statement is reminiscent of Sally Field's Oscar acceptance speech when she declared, "You like me, right now, you like me!" It reads as follows:

"Thanks. We love you a whole lot too. Since the day we started farming, we have been committed to bringing you delicious, organic foods. Every box of our wholesome granola cereal is filled with hard work and good intentions, and we are delighted to know how much you like us!"

The first 7 ingredients listed on the side panel are whole grain oats, sugar, rice, tapioca syrup, maltodextrin, sunflower oil and cranberry juice concentrate.

Short Review By Mr Breakfast:

I liked this cereal. It reminded me of homemade granola. The berry flavors are subtle and it's hard to distinguish the flavors of blueberry and cranberry in a spoonful, but you do get a general berry flavor that's pretty satisfying. It's heath and filling. I give it a 5.5 out of 7 on our golden egg rating scale.

Company Description: The company began in 1972 as an organic farm in the Upper Skagit Valley of Washington's North Cascade Mountains. The first products it sold were jams, frozen fruits and vegetables... Read on and see all cereals from Cascadian Farm
