Ridg'ems Corn Flakes
Introduced in 1993
The front of the box noted that the pieces in this cereal were "RIDGED for incredible corn taste". They looked like small, brown Ruffles potato chips.
The ingredients were simply corn, sugar, corn syrup, malt flavoring and salt with an infusion of vitamins and iron.
The only example of a box that we've seen was labeled "sample not intended for sale". It appears that Ridg'ems never went beyond regional testing to see nationwide distribution.
Many thanks to the amazing Duane from San Diego for turning us on to this cereal and providing the image.
